How we work

Most of a day is documented rather than directed. We stay out of the way, watch for the thing that is actually happening, and photograph it as it goes. The candid frames are the ones people come back to years later.

The rest is gentle direction. Almost nobody feels natural in front of a camera at first, so we put you somewhere good, give you something to do, and let the expression arrive on its own. No holding a smile, no standing to attention.

Two of us shooting means the vows and the reaction to them are both covered. Everything delivered is professionally retouched and colour-matched, so a gallery reads as one piece of work instead of a folder of separate photographs.
